Plant & Equipment Systems Analyst (Port Melbourne)

The key purpose of this role is working with the Construction Materials and Cement Division within Boral Australia in analysing and interpreting systems data particularly on Heavy Mobile Equipment. You will look at a number of key inputs, which monitor and measure the performance of our mobile equipment fleet and make recommendations to the business on your interpretation of the information.  This is an exciting role where you will have access to a number of operational systems which measure performance of our crushing plants, maintenance systems, oil sample analysis results and a range of proprietary OEM telemetry systems fitted to our mobile equipment. This role will require you to work in the office and on quarry sites to have a full appreciation of the application of mobile and fixed plants within the Boral Construction materials network. The NRG is a functional support group providing guidance and direction for the Quarries, Cement, Asphalt, Concrete, Roofing, Missionary and Timber divisions within Boral Australia. 

Key Duties:

  • Support the maintenance and develop of the HME Telemetry solutions;
  • Analysis data from the range of Boral and OEM mobile equipment systems;
  • Develop robust productivity improvement / cost reduction plans;
  • Work with the business to implement improvement strategies;
  • Report creation and distribution;
  • Create projects which measure and monitor performance of implemented improvement strategies;
  • Liaise with project sponsors to ensure project offering meets or exceeds client’s expectations;
  • Liquidate surplus equipment and appropriate documentation;
  • Site optimisation / productivity studies as required;
  • Supplier performance meetings as required;
  • Support a safe working environment (for employees and contractors) by the effective operation of relevant WHS management systems, processes and behaviours.

Skills / Experience:

  • Tertiary Education to underpin this role;
  • Mechanical aptitude (trade qualified preferred);
  • Education / qualifications in a wide range of computer programs including MS Office, Oracle and Maximo;
  • Project Management Qualifications and/or relevant experience;
  • Understanding of Construction Materials Integrated Businesses and role of Heavy Mobile Equipment; 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in successfully analysing large fleets of capital equipment and demonstrating ability to implement effective change for productivity improvements or cost reduction;
  • Asset Management / coordination experience;
  • Safety systems Unwavering commitment to safety.
