About the Opportunity
De Martin & Gasparini, one of Australia’s largest and most experienced concrete supply, pump and place subcontractors, are actively recruiting an experienced Project Engineer for our South East QLD projects. We’re looking for a driven and experienced Project Engineer to take a leading role in the successful delivery of our construction projects. Working closely with the Construction Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving program performance, ensuring technical excellence, and maintaining strong commercial outcomes, all while leading and mentoring a high-performing site team. Based in Staplyton, QLD, the Project Engineer will support a range of projects and be required to travel to project sites across South East QLD.
Your day will involve:
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day project activities across multiple work fronts
- Manage planning, programming, and technical requirements to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget
- Oversee quality assurance, design coordination, and engineering documentation
- Take ownership of cost tracking, forecasting, and variation management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
- Mentor and support Site Engineers and Cadets, fostering a positive, safety-focused culture
- Contribute to innovation, risk management, and continuous improvement across the project lifecycle
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Demonstrated experience in a project engineering role in the building and construction industry
- Strong technical understanding of civil or building construction, in particular structure trades
- Experience managing project resources efficiently to meet budgets, programs and quality standards.
