Based at our Milton office and reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, we have an opportunity for an Allocator within our QLD Cement business, whose primary responsibilities will be to capture, identify and resolve customer enquiries. You will have the chance to work as part of a small team committed to delivering exceptional customer service to each customer. Working within a high energy environment, this position will best suit an individual who can think on their feet and plan head. This is a permanent position.
Your day will involve:
- Process customer orders to ensure customer requirements are met (with training)
- Understand production capabilities of our plant and truck network to coordinate a cost-effective supply arrangement with customers
- Utilise computerised systems to view stock levels for commodities, coordinate despatch and allocate loads to trucks
- Utilise satellite vehicle tracking systems to monitor deliveries and provide delivery status information to customers
- Partner with internal production, sales, technical and transport teams
- Rotating roster between the hours of 5.00am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday and every 2nd Saturday between 5.00am and 10am.
What are we looking for?
- Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve customer issues / orders
- Proven ability to learn and meet the challenges of an ever-changing fast paced environment while maintaining high service levels
- Computer proficiency
- Previous experience in a same day allocations environment, is desirable but not essential
- Geographical knowledge of South East Qld, particularly Brisbane and Gold Coast is beneficial
- NHVR fatigue management knowledge is preferred by not essential as full training will be offered
