The Opportunity:

Due to continued growth across our business, we now have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced Commercial Analyst to join our team in North Ryde, NSW 2113.

This is a key role focused on improving decision support, commercial focus and to drive superior commercial and financial outcomes whilst partnering with the NSW Commercial Finance team in developing the financial literacy within the business in driving business performance.

Key Duties:

  • Conduct extensive financial analysis on key metrics and generate options to leverage performance to help with strategic decision making and performance monitoring
  • Promote financial understanding for all key commercial drivers, productivity, asset efficiency, supply vs. demand, investment and projects
  • Deliver data-driven decision-making support and ensure the business is updated and engaged on the achievement and delivery of financial targets and strategies
  • Provide sound financial insight to operations to deliver profitable and sustainable growth across their business unit including determining cost effectiveness of growth strategies and ensuring approved capital investments deliver on benefits
  • Identify value adding opportunities in revenue and cost through the application of insightful financial analysis tools and integrate into operational decision making
  • Assist with ensuring integrity in financial results
  • Support the NSW Commercial Finance team in owning monthly actuals & variance, quarterly forecast and annual budget processes

About You:

  • Bachelor degree (or higher) in Commerce, Business, Finance or Economics, with CA/CPA qualifications preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets to produce actional insights with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts to non-finance professionals to build commercial awareness and understanding
  • Ability to understand and manage competing priorities
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and an ability to use data and help find solutions to operational and strategic initiatives
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Advanced Skill with Microsoft Office products particularly Excel and Powerpoint
