Boral Australia is seeking a skilled Demand & Supply Planner to join our dynamic team within the NSW Concrete & Quarries business for a 15-month fixed term contract. In this role you will play a critical part in integrating business intelligence and forecast data from various sources to drive Sales and Operations planning functions. This opportunity will see you responsible for maintaining and modeling data, managing inventory across the supply chain network, and ensuring alignment with target service levels and safety stock targets.  

 

Your day will involve: 

  • Data-Driven Forecasting: Utilise advanced analytical tools and methodologies to build sales and demand forecasts with precision. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance stakeholders to understand demand forecast drivers and to ensure value creation in current processes and reporting. 
  • Risk Identification and Opportunity Analysis: Proactively identify operational opportunities and risks to define pathways that deliver optimal outcomes for Boral's business operations. 
  • Leadership in Planning Optimisation: Lead the optimisation of production, capacity, inventory, and logistics plans. Implement strategies to streamline processes and improve efficiency across the supply chain. 
  • Inventory Management Strategies: Implement and maintain inventory and material management strategies for finished goods. 
  • Collaboration with Operations: Engage with Operational stakeholders to understand production capacity and maintenance/downtime planning. 

 

What are we looking for? 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or Business. 
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Demand and/or Supply Planner in a complex planning environment. \Demonstrated ability to draw meaningful insights from data and translate them into actionable business recommendations. 
  • Proficiency in delivering presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Experience in statistical forecasting and using big data. 
  • Proven ability in safety leadership and implementation of key initiatives.
