Your next opportunity:

Boral’s Group Finance division is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to be based in the North Ryde head office. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this highly strategic position will take ownership of the Treasury accounting processes, including the group's overseas operations.

Your day will involve:

• Building and maintaining effective relationships with Finance and Business Unit Stakeholders.   
• Developing an overall understanding of the Boral Business and a detailed understanding of Financial Accounting processes.  Identifying and facilitating the effective resolution of Financial Accounting issues with Finance and Business Unit Stakeholders. 
• Ownership of treasury accounting for the Boral Group (working closely with the Treasury team), including determination and processing of month end journals, reconciling accounts, analysis of month end treasury results and balances
• Ownership of accounting for the group's overseas operations 
• Preparation of Hyperion back schedules and workings assigned, along with clearing monthly Hyperion validations 
• Ensuring all Accounting processes comply with Boral Accounting Policies and Accounting standards. 

What we are looking for:

• CA or CPA qualified (preferred) or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years accounting experience  
• In-depth experience in Oracle/SAP Financial Modules and/or equivalent systems 
• Experience in applying accounting principles and Australian Accounting Standards  
• Commercial exposure, preferably in a large scale environment
• Proven ability to manage own performance including skills in time management and managing workload priorities 
• Proven analytical, problem solving and process management skills
