Your next opportunity 

Based in Shepparton, we are looking for a responsible and experienced individual to join our team as a Concrete Field Tester working mainly on customer sites. Working independently this role reports to the Technical Supervisor - Concrete and involves undertaking tasks in relation to sampling, testing, maintenance of records, reporting of results for our concrete products.  

 

Your day will involve: 

  • Conduct sampling of concrete samples on site (Across the region including Echuca, Kyabram, Goulburn Valley and Shepparton)
  • Conduct testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions and manuals.
  • Calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
  • Maintain, observe, and take part in the statutory safety requirements of the Laboratory operations
  • Other duties as directed by the Field Tester Section Head 

 

What are we looking for? 

  • Demonstrable experience as a concrete field tester
  • Nata Signatory in concrete testing would be highly desirable
  • Experience in a supervisor or team leader would be highly desirable
  • Experience in Qest LIMS system
  • A commitment to safety and quality
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or another relevant discipline e.g. Civil, Chemical or Materials - (desirable but not essential).
  • Well developed skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data (especially with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel etc).
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • An ability to cope with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Knowledge of Australian and Industry standards
