Your next opportunity:  

Our Boral Cement team is looking for an enthusiastic Production Operator to join our production Support Team based in Maldon.  Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for providing support to the Team Leader in operational teams to achieve set targets by following daily operational plans. This is an entry level role where you are provided with training to progress to the role of Production Operator Advanced.

Your day will involve: 

  • Perform routine tasks as required by the Company consistent with your level of skill and training
  • Participate in isolation tasks as directed and under supervision.
  • Undertake industrial cleaning, shoveling, sweeping, hosing, amenities cleaning and grounds maintenance in a competent manner and in accordance with the Company's requirements.
  • Active involvement in undertaking statutory training, such as Rail Safety Awareness, Confined Space Watcher, Forklift, Front End Loader and Bobcat certification, and training as per site specific duties
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with any business improvement initiative or process introduced by the Company from time to time.
  • Some manual handling including 20kg cement bags, tool and equipment
  • Comply with and adhere to Company Standard Operating Procedures, and all operational and workplace policies of the Company, as amended from time to time. This includes the Company's Life Saving Rules

What we are looking for:  

  • Genuine commitment to workplace safety
  • Experience and competencies operating road trucks, forklifts and front end loaders is highly desirable but not essential
  • Ability to participate in daily rosters and changing shifts
  • Able to work in a collaborative team environment
