Career building, permanent opportunity for a Senior Payroll Officer to have direct oversight of the weekly payroll operations team as well as support with weekly payroll processing.
Reporting to the Head of Payroll, this critical role is suited to an individual with a proactive approach, high customer service focus and exposure to working in a medium to large organisation underpinned by a multiple EAs and Awards.
Your day will involve:
- Conducting all payroll related activities in a timely manner conforming to all ethical, internal policies and legislative guidelines and maintaining accurate records
- Managing all daily, monthly & yearly payroll functions pertaining to the team, including co-ordination of all payroll reporting, month end processing, payroll system checks, administration and process compliance for superannuation and Payment Summary preparation and distribution
- Processing of annual remuneration review for Boral, including liaising with Group Remuneration Manager to ensure accuracy in the Remuneration Review program
- Providing Assistance with the Workers Compensation processing and payments, including reconciliation and liaising with Finance to streamline and reconcile
- Assisting and cross training team members as required.
What are we looking for?
- Demonstrated payroll experience within a large, multi-site business as a senior team member
- Exposure to processing high volume, complex payrolls
- Experience with Chris21 and MS Office Suite is essential
- Experience with Kronos will be highly regarded
- Experience with managing data, set up, administration and process management for annual remuneration review processes for salaried employees, including salary packaging and incentive payments
- Experience managing payroll improvement or similar projects to deliver reduced processing costs and improved user service experience.
