An opportunity exists for a proactive and energetic Senior Health & Safety Business Partner to join our national Health and Safety team, supporting our NSW Concrete and Quarries business.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager of Concrete and Quarries NSW and the Head of Health and Safety, the primary focus of this role is to participate in the Concrete & Quarries Leadership Team and provide support to our operational teams, ensuring that business unit level issues are understood, controls are implemented and compliance and assurance measures are constantly reviewed. Working closely with the frontline, this is a key role in delivering strong alignment between operational risks and health and safety controls and will enable safety improvements across the Concrete and Quarries segment.
As a people leader, this role will have accountability for leading a Health & Safety Business Partner and Occupational Hygienist. Operating as a true business partner, you will relish the opportunity to travel to site on a regular basis to engage with leaders and employees on site and really understand their challenges, creating learning opportunities from issues and incidents to enable them to perform more effectively. A central part of this role is to build an intimate understanding of our operations and forge strong and lasting relationships with stakeholders to deliver positive safety outcomes.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity and candidates must have the flexibility to travel to various sites across NSW.
What are we looking for?
- A strong people leader with a proven track record influencing, mentoring and coaching team members and stakeholders
- Prior exposure to operating at senior levels including EGM level
- A positive and proactive approach with a willingness and commitment to partnering with and supporting operational teams
- A curious mind with a willingness to embraces new ideas and different approaches
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with strong skills in implementing successful organisational change within complex environments
- Knowledge of WHS regulations, systems, processes and Information Systems.
