Based at our West Burleigh Quarry, we are looking for a responsible and driven individual to join our team as a Quarry Laboratory Technician! Working independently this role reports to the Quarry Manager - and involves undertaking tasks in relation to sampling, testing, training, supervising, maintenance of records, and reporting of results for our quarry-related products.
Your day will involve:
- Conduct sampling of Quarry samples on site
- Conduct testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions, and manuals.
- Calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
- Maintain, observe, and take part in the statutory safety requirements of the Laboratory operations
- Other duties as directed by the Quarry Manager
What are we looking for?
- Experience as a soil tester
- A commitment to safety and quality
- Well-developed skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting data (especially with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc).
- Good time management and organizational skills
- An ability to cope with competing priorities and deadlines
- Knowledge of Australian and Industry standards
