Due to continued growth within our business, we now have a great opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our Victorian Asphalt team.

This role will see you responsible for overseeing our Manufacturing plant workshop and all maintenance activities for Fixed Asphalt Plant’s across Victoria, ensuring optimal performance and efficient operations.

Your day will involve:

  • Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training and support to ensure the highest level of performance and productivity
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, procedures and policies to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maximize equipment up-time
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of Fixed Plant to identify maintenance needs, address issues promptly, and prevent breakdowns
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source spare parts, equipment, and materials required for maintenance and repair activities
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory management
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and procurement, to optimize maintenance processes and enhance overall fleet performance
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs, adhering to budgetary constraints and seeking opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality

What we are looking for:

  • Relevant trade qualifications
  • Previous experience in a maintenance supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a similar industry such as asphalt or heavy equipment
  • Strong technical knowledge of mobile fleet maintenance, including familiarity with asphalt plant & equipment
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors
