Reporting to the Quarry Supervisor, we are looking for a passionate individual who is eager to tackle the challenges of leading our Culcairn quarry operational team. You’ll play a crucial role in planning, organisation, safety performance, achieving production targets, ensuring quality control, and driving continuous improvement.

 Your Day Will Involve:

  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards to help us achieve our goal of ZERO HARM across all operations.
  • Collaborate with the Quarry Supervisor to run day-to-day operations smoothly.
  • Organise work teams and oversee activities on site for maximum efficiency.
  • Assist in managing contractors and team members effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections and ensure mobile and fixed plant maintenance is carried out.
  • Keep track of stock inventory to support operational needs.
  • Promote and initiate activities that foster a culture of continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience in leading teams in quarry or mining operations, with a knack for motivating and organising.
  • Demonstrated experience in hard rock quarry operations, crushing and screening processes, and load and haul operations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning abilities to drive results while managing multiple deadlines.
  • Initiative to identify, manage, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Strong people management skills to support compliance and foster a culture of HSE and Quality
