We are looking for a driven Account Manager to join our team and partner with customers across the construction and demolition industry to deliver outstanding service, strong commercial outcomes, and long-term relationships. 

As an Account Manager within our Recycling business, you will be the primary point of contact servicing our customers in the Newcastle, Hunter and Central Coast region to manage sales of inbound and outbound Recycling products, based at the Boral Newcastle Recycling yard in Kooragang Island. You will be responsible for managing and growing key accounts, driving sales growth, client retention and delivering exceptional customer service whilst ensuring high standards are upheld and align with the ‘Boral Way’ principles. You will lead by example as a key representative of the business to the external market.

Your Day Will Involve:

• Build and maintain strong relationships within an existing customer portfolio.
• Identify new business opportunities and drive sales growth across the region.
• Provide expert advice on our range of products and services, ensuring the right solutions for our customers.
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure the efficient delivery of products and services to customers.
• Monitor and analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to develop effective sales strategies.
• Prepare and present sales proposals, quotes, and contracts to customers.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent communication and problem-solving.
• Meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Manage day-to-day P&L performance for your allocated portfolio of clients.
• Monitor client trading trends to identify business risk profiles and additional sales opportunities.

What We Are Looking For?

• Proven experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably within the construction industry.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work autonomously.
• Excellent stakeholder and relationship building skills
• A full driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region. Occasional overnight travel will be required.
• A commitment to safety and environmental standards.
