Your next opportunity:  

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead our Carrington Asphalt business. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient management of asphalt manufacturing, asphalt contracting and spray seal operations, driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction and strong financial performance across the region.

Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders, you will play a critical role in delivering successful outcomes while fostering a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team while maximising business performance, profitability and sustainable growth.

Your day will involve: 

  • Leading a strong safety-first culture across the business.
  • Managing the successful delivery of projects and contracts.
  • Coaching and developing employees to build high-performing teams.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Driving operational efficiency, service delivery and business performance.
  • Collaborating with manufacturing, logistics, technical and support teams.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and growth.

What are we looking for? 

  • Leadership experience within asphalt, construction, contracting or manufacturing.
  • Experience managing teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Commercially and financially astute with a focus on results.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Engineering or management qualifications are desirable.
