A key role in Boral’s Assets and Capital Projects team, this role is critical to the success of in-flight and developing projects. Responsible for providing administrative, project and procurement support to the mobile and fixed assets team and major and infrastructure projects, this individual will work closely with a team of Project and Asset Managers. Responsibilities will include customer invoicing, invoice receipting, project reporting, document release support and general enhancement to the planning and delivery function of the group.

As a highly organised individual, you will relish the opportunity to take accountability for setting up filing structures and document naming conventions and generally establishing effective and efficient processes for the Capital Projects Team. As a self starter, you will be able to identify processes, tasks and resources required to achieve a goal.

Your day will involve:

  • Provide administrative, project, and procurement support to the asset team and major infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer invoicing and invoice receipting.
  • Maintain effective document management systems, including filing structures and naming conventions.
  • Uphold standardised systems and processes to ensure operational cadence and rigour.
  • Deliver consistent support to project managers for planning and execution of capital works projects.
  • Assist with the coordination and administration of multiple projects.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal managers and external suppliers regarding project-related matters and liaise with suppliers to ensure tasks are completed promptly and efficiently.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders across the business.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Procurement, Contracts, and Accounts Payable teams.
  • Raise purchase orders and process invoices in line with approved budgets and company approval processes
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and workflows.
  • Support the Asset Care and Mobile Fleet team with administrative requirements, including customer invoicing and invoice receipting

What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated experience in project support or governance within a project management environment.
  • Strong understanding of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Experience in accounts processing within a large organisation.
  • Well-developed organisational and communication skills with ability to manage competing demands
  • High-level administration and document management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project.
