An opportunity has arisen within Boral’s IT Team for a Cloud Solution Engineer. This is a hands-on, technical role responsible for designing, building, and supporting Boral's cloud infrastructure and databases across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The Cloud Solution Engineer ensures Boral's cloud platforms are secure, reliable, and continuously improving and supporting critical business operations. They will work closely with technical and business teams to deliver effective cloud solutions.

Your day will involve:

• Work as a valued contributor within an agile delivery team, supporting collaborative and iterative ways of working.
• Partner with solution architects, application subject matter experts, and fellow engineers to design and deliver database and cloud-based solutions.
• Apply Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise to maintain, operate, and optimise GCP environments.
• Apply AWS skills to architect, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and services across the organisation.
• Leverage Microsoft Azure capabilities to support cloud workloads, integration services, and platform operations.
• Lead database design, optimisation, and remediation activities, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to support consistent and repeatable deployments across multiple public cloud environments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including the optimisation of cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and resilience.
• Provide operational support across multi-cloud environments, responding to incidents and ensuring platform stability.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Experience with databases including Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres and DynamoDB is mandatory.
• Experience operating in a complex environment utilising Google Cloud Platform is mandatory.
• Formal AWS and Azure Certifications are highly desirable.
• Formal Google Certifications are highly desirable.
• Experience operating in a complex environment utilising AWS is highly desirable.
