As Commercial Finance Manager, you will partner closely with operational leaders to provide strategic insight, drive performance, and influence key decisions across our Regional QLD Asphalt business. You’ll play a critical role in strengthening financial capability, improving profitability, and enabling sustainable growth.

This position can be based in a number of locations in Regional QLD including Toowoomba, Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns and will require travel twice per month across this portfolio.

Your day will involve:

  • Partner with Regional, Operations and Sales leaders to optimise project performance and profitability
  • Deliver strategic financial insights, modelling and analysis to support key decisions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and performance outcomes across the business
  • Provide commercial guidance across pricing, contracts, risk and customer agreements
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Support capital investment decisions through robust business case development
  • Enhance financial literacy across operational teams
  • Lead working capital optimisation and contribute to statewide performance initiatives
  • Implement governance, reporting and control frameworks aligned with Group standard.

What are we looking for?

  • A commercially astute finance leader with experience partnering with operational stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce or related discipline (CA/CPA preferred)
  • Proven experience in civil contracting, construction or infrastructure environments
  • Strong track record of delivering business performance improvements through insight and influence
  • Advanced analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
  • A proactive approach with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
