• Broad remit: community engagement and internal recognition in one role
• Report to the South East Queensland General Manager of Quarries
• Coaching from our National Community Relations and Engagement Manager
• Own relationships and programs across our Queensland quarry network
• Work on the materials that build homes, roads and infrastructure

The role

Varied, hands-on and visible. You'll build trust with communities near our quarries, and celebrate the people inside our business.

You'll:

• Run local community meetings and events
• Build relationships with residents and stakeholders
• Manage community partnership programs
• Coordinate recognition and reward initiatives for our people
• Write newsletters, event summaries and social posts
• Respond to community feedback and support our media team
• Track government policy and local issues affecting our sites
• Partner with Brand, Communications and Marketing on messaging

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in community engagement, internal communications or stakeholder relations
• A background in a large, well-established business with many teams, sites and layers
• Ideally that experience comes from mining, construction, manufacturing or similar heavy industry
• Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, community development or a related field
• Comfortable working across a complex organisation to get things moving
• A proactive, empathetic communicator who enjoys bringing people together
• Confident organising events and writing content
