We have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced Systems Electrical Engineer to join our Victorian Asset team in Melbourne to assist with our quarry assets across Victoria.
This role will see you champion the delivery of electrical projects whilst also being responsible for, managing electrical audits and works programs, plant reliability, efficiency improvement initiatives, preventative maintenance and general engineering / technical support across the various Victorian sites. You will act as the SME for all electrical works required within our quarries across Melbourne and regional Victoria and ensure safety and compliance across projects are met.
Your day will involve:
Undertake and co-ordinate electrical audits and inspections whilst also undertaking energy audits and RCA's for electrical incidents
Develop/ maintain scope documents for periodic electrical maintenance and inspections
Supervising ongoing electrical work on site, completed by third party electrical contractors
Coordination of change management processes for plant electrical drawings & of change management processes for plant PLC & SCADA programs
Driving and leading preventative maintenance work across quarries
Management of electrical projects from initiation and feasibility assessments through implementation, commissioning and closeout
Liaising with key stakeholders including Quarry Managers, Maintenance Supervisors and third party maintenance contractors
Plant automation works and process studies targeted at OEE improvements
Ensuring compliance and safety across ongoing major electrical projects
What we are looking for:
Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Systems Engineering or a related discipline
Experience in PLC program and automation or SCADA
Excellent knowledge and hands on experience as an Industrial electrical equipment
Ability to read electrical schematics, cable schedules and P&IDs
Understanding of PLC programmes, systems and hardware
Experience in project, cost and contractor management
Experience in Site Supervision of multiple trades/contractors
Ability to work autonomously when required
Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Ability to manage, influence and build rapport with stakeholders from a variety of functions to effectively manage works
Demonstrating excellent communication skills
