Your next opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join Boral's Major Projects team on a 12-month fixed-term contract based in North Ryde. Reporting to the National Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in supporting major project opportunities across multiple Boral business divisions.

This role is ideal for an experienced estimator who enjoys collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders, influencing commercial outcomes, and developing competitive solutions for some of Australia's largest infrastructure and construction projects. With exposure to senior leaders across the business, no two projects are the same.

Your day will involve:
  • Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for major projects across multiple Boral business divisions.
  • Utilising existing cost models and collaborating with business stakeholders to develop robust pricing submissions.
  • Partnering with Operations, Sales and Commercial teams to develop comprehensive project solutions.
  • Supporting the NSW Business Development Manager on 3-4 major project tenders at any given time.
  • Coordinating business-wide input to support strategic bids and project proposals.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Analysing pricing scenarios and refining estimates in response to customer feedback and changing project requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities to optimise project outcomes while maintaining commercial viability.
  • Ensuring estimates, assumptions and approvals are accurately documented and auditable.
What are we looking for?
  • Proven experience in an Estimator or Senior Estimator role, ideally within construction, infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with complex cost models and pricing data.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop accurate and competitive estimates.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the business.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to tender deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
What's on offer?
  • Opportunity to work on some of Australia's most significant infrastructure and construction projects.
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment with strong leadership and industry expertise.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including 1 day working from home per week.
