An exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Analyst has become available to join our Laboratory Services Team based in our North Ryde office. Reporting directly to the Head of Laboratory Services, the purpose of your role is to partner with key business leaders to provide financial support, commercial focus and to drive superior commercial and financial outcomes.

This includes developing the financial literacy within the business, driving business performance including supporting Boral's Continuous and Value Improvement Programs, providing independent financial perspectives to senior leaders, and supporting customer and general commercial arrangements.

Your day will involve: 

  • Acts independently to apply comprehensive understanding of the business environment and objectives developing solutions while providing guidance others.
  • Acts as a strategist / catalyst, providing financial leadership for the division and stimulating behaviours to create value through achieving strategic and financial objectives.
  • Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to act independently while guiding and training others on supporting business decisions with professional interpretations of financial information.
  • Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently while providing guidance and training to others on planning, organizing, prioritising and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives
  • Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on developing appropriate plans or performing necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
  • Identifies, assesses, prioritizes and manages risks without supervision and provides technical guidance when required.
  • Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently on costing, budgeting and finance tasks while providing guidance and training to others.
  • Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently while providing guidance and training to others on analysing data from multiple sources to draw appropriate conclusions and make suitable recommendations.
  • Works independently and provides guidance and training to others on analysing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.

What are we looking for? 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Commerce, Business, Finance or Economics
  • Wide and deep experience providing expert advice on financial outcomes pertaining to end to end sales, logistics and operations in large and complex industrial or manufacturing businesses
  • Wide and deep experience providing expert advice on financial outcomes pertaining to end to end sales, logistics and operations in large and complex industrial or manufacturing businesses
  • Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short / medium timescales within the overall policy framework.
