We are seeking a capable and energetic Management Accountant to join our high performing QLD Quarry Finance Team. The Management Accountant is responsible for providing accurate financial insights, analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision-making within the organisation.

This role is accountable for the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, month end processes and analysing variances through to offering recommendations to improve financial performance. The Management Accountant will collaborate closely with the Quarry business and work across other business segments and functions as part of our Operating Model.

Your day will involve: 

• Business Partnering 
  • Stakeholder Management across the Quarry leadership team and business partnering with sales, logistics and site operations facilitating continuous improvement in the understanding and communication of results.
    
    
• Cost Accounting and Inventory Reporting
  • Monitor and Manage Cost Drivers through strong P&L management.
  • Inventory Management and processes to ensure control of inventory and Stock holdings.
    
    
• Month end and associated reconciliation processes
  • Month end journals to support the month end close process working with site leads and Commercial Finance Managers.
  • Variance analysis to support the Monthly Business Review process and effective cost management.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations with a view of improving working capital through debtors management, creditor initiatives and inventory management.
    
    
• Financial reporting and Analysis
  • Dashboards and reporting insights and performance improvement.
  • Budgeting and forecasting.
  • Capital Management and associated reporting.
    
    
• Risk Management and Compliance
  • Year-end reporting.
  • Addressing audit queries from internal and external audit teams.
