The role

You'll be the Management Accountant for our NSW Concrete businesses including Metro, Regional and Concrite. That means closing the month accurately, then explaining what the result means and what to do about it.

You'll:

  • Deliver month-end close, reporting and variance analysis
  • Build budgets, forecasts and rolling cash and volume outlooks
  • Report and interpret the balanced scorecard for the business unit
  • Analyse costs, production volumes, margin and overheads
  • Value and reconcile inventory with operations
  • Prepare capital business cases and track benefits after approval
  • Review maintenance and contractor spend with site leaders
  • Support in coaching area managers on the numbers they own
  • Strengthen controls, reconciliations and month-end discipline

What we're looking for

  • CA or CPA qualified
  • A background in a large, well-established business
  • Ideally that experience comes from construction or heavy industry
  • Confident with a major ERP and strong in Excel
  • Able to explain a result plainly to people who don't work in finance
  • Comfortable working across a complex organisation to get answers
  • Willingness to travel to operational sites
