Boral Asphalt have a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Western Region team, based in Welshpool, WA 6106.
Your primary focus will be to provide effective and efficient project management of asphalt / bitumen surfacing projects in the WA region, whilst also taking accountability for successfully communicating and implementing sound strategies and plans.
Your day will involve:
Lead the safety, quality, delivery and financial aspects of the projects
Optimising financial performance through the coordination, programming and administration of all contracting operations and obligations
Effective team leadership and engagement with multiple internal departments to ensure we meet and exceed client expectations
Complying with Boral’s OHSEQ policies and ensuring our Safety, Environmental and Quality standards are met
Managing day to day operations in rural and remote locations
Analyse, record and report on project risks and mitigations applied to the project
Provide regular reporting on project schedules, look ahead and at-risk activities. Review and approve deviations to the project plan and schedule
Complete all documentation for efficient costing, raw material management and Invoicing for projects in your area of responsibility
Evaluate team effectiveness and coach team members to achieve superior performance
What are we looking for:
Tertiary qualification in Engineering or another relevant field viewed favourably, but not mandatory
A well-developed understanding of best industry health, safety and environmental practices
Ideally you will have previous experience managing projects of civil or road-works nature
A competent professional with an appetite for working in, and enhancing, an inclusive open team
Effective negotiator and highly competent communicator
Excellent communication skills and advanced skills in Microsoft Suite including Project
