Your next opportunity:
Based in Baulkham Hills, we are looking for a responsible and experienced individual to join our team as a Quarries Co-ordinator. Working independently this role reports to the Laboratory Services Manager (NSW). The key focus of this role will be to liaise between the laboratories and the Boral Technical team to ensure ongoing compliance of all quarry and recycled products. This role could suit an experienced Laboratory Technician or Supervisor looking to change direction and learn new skills.
What your day will look like:
- Coordinate and conduct the sampling for the Boral Quarries NSW/ACT ITP testing program.
- Coordinate ITP programs to sample materials from internal and external suppliers of aggregates to major projects
- Liaise with technical and sales staff in relation to sampling requirements for new projects and upcoming works
- Review all test results to ensure materials pass the ITP and flag any concerns
- Coordinate with the concrete section and collect bulk samples used in the trial mixing process at the lab
- Liaise with the laboratory Section Heads and Major Client Co-ordinator around testing completion
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
What we are looking for:
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience on Australian NATA laboratory practices
- Knowledge of the Quarry Industry beneficial
- Excellent communication and experience at building relationships and managing stakeholders
- Good time management and demonstrated commitment to project completion
- LR licence to drive the sampling truck (7.5t) will be highly regarded but can be attained after appointment·
- Flexibility to complete sampling trips across NSW being away from home for up to 3-4 days at a time
- Qualification in Materials Science or similar will be highly regarded
