We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Quarry Manager to lead our Orange Grove operation in Perth, WA and deliver safe, sustainable, and high-performing results.

Reporting to the GM Concrete & Quarries WA, this is a key leadership position responsible for quarry development, daily operations including production planning and drill and blast activities, and overall site performance. You will lead a team of 30+ employees, drive operational excellence, and build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and the local community.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Lead with Purpose

  • Inspire and lead a high-performing team, fostering a strong safety-first culture
  • Build engagement and capability across the workforce, both staff and contractors
  • Develop collaborative relationships across Sales, Operations, and key stakeholders

Deliver Safe & Sustainable Operations

  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental systems, regulations, and procedures
  • Proactively manage risk and continuously improve safety outcomes
  • Champion Boral’s commitment to Zero Harm
  • Ensure compliance with current licensing, consents and regulatory requirements

Drive Performance & Results

  • Manage production, cost, and sales targets to meet business objectives
  • Oversee site budgets, P&L performance, and resource allocation
  • Identify and deliver continuous improvement and operational efficiencies

Plan for the Future

  • Lead workforce and operational planning
  • Embed lean thinking and continuous improvement practices
  • Use data and insights to optimise site performance
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of short-term and long-term Capital Works and maintenance

What are we looking for?

You’re a proven leader in quarrying or mining who brings both operational expertise and a people-first mindset.

You will have:

  • Senior Site Executive (SSE) certification
  • Quarry Manager qualification/ticket (either Restricted or Un-Restricted)
  • Demonstrated experience in quarrying or mining operations
  • Strong knowledge of quarrying processes and safety legislation
  • Experience managing budgets and driving financial performance
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to influence and engage teams

  • A continuous improvement mindset, with experience in lean practices
