We are looking for a driven Account Manager to join our team and partner with customers across the construction industry to deliver outstanding service, strong commercial outcomes, and long-term relationships.

As an Account Manager, you will manage and grow a portfolio of customers across the construction sector. You will ensure high standards are upheld and align with the ‘Boral Way’, as well as lead by example as a key representative of the business to the external market.

This role suits someone who thrives on being in the market, understands the pace of construction and takes pride in delivering outcomes for customers and for the business.

Your day will involve:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with a large base of existing and new customers
  • Identifying new business opportunities and converting them into volume
  • Providing expert advice on our range of quarry products and services, ensuring the right solutions for our customers
  • Negotiating commercial agreements and delivering mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Working closely with operations to solve problems and keep projects moving
  • Monitoring and analysing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform effective sales strategies
  • Preparing and presenting sales proposals, quotes, and contracts to customers
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent communication and problem-solving
  • Owning your territory and consistently delivering results

What are we looking for?

  • 5+ years experience in Account Management or Business Development, with demonstrated ability to grow share in a territory, win new accounts or major projects and expand product penetration with existing customers
  • Commercial drive and strong negotiation skills
  • Confidence working with contractors and construction professionals
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and ability to work autonomously
  • Well presented with a high level of interpersonal skills
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship building skills
  • Commitment to working safely and contributing to a strong team culture
  • Full driver’s licence and flexibility to travel within Melbourne
