Based at our Kooragang Site and reporting to the Sales Manager, the Account Manager Northern NSW is responsible for managing and expanding Boral Cement’s market share of bulk cement and packaged products sales across the Northern and Far North Region of NSW.

This role is pivotal in managing prospective and existing accounts by developing solid relationships to ensure that we understand and address the needs of our customers and market. Interfacing with a diverse customer base from the Hunter Valley to Northern NSW, this role offers variety and the opportunity to really take ownership of the allocated customer portfolio, building positive and long-lasting relationships.

Your day will involve:

  • Manage and nurture account relationships to a high standard to ensure retention as well as to identify business risks and opportunities to increase sales, volume & margin 
  • Prospect, build and maintain strong customer relationships, achieving, or exceeding sales objectives, and assisting as a technical consultant to customers
  • Facilitate customer concern resolution with relevant departments such as operations, QC, credit control & transport to ensure a positive customer experience with Boral
  • Support and provide advice on sales and pricing strategies to improve market share and drive net benefit for Boral
  • Develop sales strategies, conduct competitor and market analysis as well as forecast sales volumes
  • Represent Boral at industry events and seek to obtain market data and business opportunities
  • Pre-empt and provide solutions for customers in a manner that yields credibility and value and strengthens Boral Cement’s brand equity and reputation. 

What are we looking for?

  • Strong experience as an Account Manager within Construction or Building / Industrial Retail sectors
  • Demonstrated experience in actively resolving customer issues and maintaining satisfaction/ retention
  • Proven ability to achieve sales outcomes and quickly assess and price/mitigate contractual risk
  • Strong initiative to identify opportunities for growth and improvement across sales and processes

You will be an adaptable, proactive and solutions oriented Account Manager with strong foundational sales and relationship building skills. You will relish the opportunity to meet with your customers and will be expected to travel across your portfolio on a regular basis.
