Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing 6 asphalt plants to meet local and regional daily operations, and the workshop that takes care of the maintenance of any mobile and fixed assets.
You will also ensure all asphalt plants in Metro and Regional Victoria are running effectively and efficiently during the day and night shifts to fulfil customer demand, servicing various industries.
You will lead directly lead a team of Manufacturing Supervisors and Maintenance managers, as well as providing indirect guidance and leadership to operators and maintenance workers.
Your day will involve:
Providing guidance and leadership to a large team, with a focus on safety
Ensuring day to day operations of all plants are effective and efficiently running
Management of Production Quality and managing daily production targets
Workshop management including maintenance forecast and budgets
Ensure all relevant maintenance and productions systems are administered
Ensure all staff are trained in accordance with the training matrix
What are we looking for?
Along with strong leadership and a high level of technical knowledge regarding asphalt production, you will also have:
Previous experience in a similar leadership role, preferably within Asphalt, Cement or Concrete
Engineering experience or trade qualifications (preferred)
Sound knowledge and understanding of HSEQ requirements
Strong written and verbal communication and intermediate MS Office skills
Knowledge of packaging and manufacturing processes
Knowledge of BSI 9001 certification requirements
Confined space and work at heights (preferred)
