We have a great opportunity for an experienced, passionate and committed Driver to join our Boral Asphalt team in Victoria. 

This role will see you responsible for the delivery of bitumen products in a safe and efficient manner to asphalt plants across Metro Melbourne and road spray teams in regional Victoria. 

This is a unique opportunity to live the trucker lifestyle by living and working out of the truck during asphalt spray season and going home every night during the off-peak season. Your day will largely consist of delivering the truck for loading and unloading of bitumen, working closely with our Spray team in Regional Victoria and minor fault finding and maintenance work on the truck if required. 

Your day will involve

  • Operation of heavy vehicle combination (primarily a B-Double) transporting dangerous goods 
  • Promote a positive public image of Boral and interact with internal & external customers in a professional and courteous manner 
  • Maintaining a company truck and reporting faults to management 
  • Bringing the truck in for daily loading at Dandenong, Geelong and Laverton plants 
  • Comply with Boral OH&S policy and ensure our Safety and Environmental standards are met. 

What we are looking for

  • A dedicated and committed diver with experience transporting Dangerous Goods, ideally bitumen or other DG liquids. 
  • A strong commitment to safety and the environment along with a superior customer focus 
  • HC or MC drivers' license with a Dangerous Goods license (desirable, not essential) 
  • Experience in tanker operation and the handling of bituminous products (desirable) 
  • A strong understanding of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) an advantage  
  • Team player with the ability to work well independently 
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet operational requirements
