About the Role

Reporting to the Construction Manager, this position is responsible for driving the commercial and contractual performance of landmark infrastructure and construction projects. You will take ownership of all contract administration processes, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and in accordance with legal, commercial, and operational requirements. This is a role that demands a strategic mindset, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to influence outcomes across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and submission of client progress claims and ensure timely financial reporting
  • Oversee the assessment, negotiation, and management of variations and contractual claims
  • Manage the full lifecycle of subcontractor and supplier agreements, including procurement strategy and performance oversight
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls to ensure financial targets are met
  • Provide strategic input into monthly project reviews and commercial reporting to senior management
  • Ensure full compliance with head contract obligations, legislative requirements, and internal governance frameworks.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience as a Contracts Administrator within the building and construction industry
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
  • Advanced proficiency in Jobpac, Microsoft Excel, or other ERP or project control systems
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a focus on risk mitigation and value creation.
