Are you passionate about innovation, materials science, and high-end testing? Boral is seeking a Development Engineer to support technical excellence and quality assurance in our R&D and testing operations.
 
As a Development Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing high end Concrete testing methodologies and mix designs. You’ll contribute to industry-leading research and development and support customer-facing initiatives.
 
 
What you will be doing:
  • Lead and support high-end concrete testing, including durability and lifespan assessments
  • Collaborate with internal teams on trial mixes and lab testing methods
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in testing, including non-destructive techniques
  • Provide technical support to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Manage one direct report and facilitate knowledge transfer within the lab
 
What we are looking for:
  • Knowledge of 17025, AS1012, AS114, AS1289 and tNSW methods.  
  • Strong background in materials science or materials engineering
  • Extensive knowledge of Qest LIMS
  • Experience in concrete mix design, admixtures, grouting, or consultancy
  • Familiarity with industry standards and testing protocols
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
