Your next opportunity:

Boral in South East Queensland is currently seeking a Fitter to join our field service team based out of our Wacol Logistics Facility on Afternoon Shift. Reporting to the Logistics Manager and the Maintenance Supervisor on a daily basis. You will be responsible for a range of maintenance activities including performing planned maintenance, minimising production downtime and maximising equipment efficiency. 

Your day will involve:

• Work safely in line with OH&S procedures and legislation
• Complete preventative maintenance routines and assist in the continual improvement of maintenance programs
• Assist in maintaining the mechanical maintenance spare parts stock
• Fault find, modify and maintain agitator mixers with a focus on up time
• Complete documentation to ensure compliance with maintenance programs
• Overtime may be required to supplement the maintenance effort

What are we looking for?

• Relevant fitter trade qualifications
• Understanding of pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics and hydraulic systems
• A freshly qualified LV Mechanical fitter would be considered for this role
• Motivated self-starter who is results-oriented and driven to succeed
• Works in a professional manner with a “Can do” attitude
• Works well in a small team
• The role is working afternoon shift
