Are you hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about quality? We're looking for a motivated Concrete & Aggregates Laboratory Technician to join our Canberra team. Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and performance of our concrete and quarry products through sampling, testing, reporting, and laboratory operations.

What you'll be doing:

No two days are the same in this varied role. You'll:

  • Collect concrete and aggregate samples from sites across the region
  • Perform laboratory testing in line with industry standards and approved procedures
  • Prepare samples and accurately record and report test results
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Support quality assurance and compliance testing activities
  • Maintain laboratory records and documentation in line with NATA accreditation requirements
  • Champion safe work practices and contribute to a strong safety culture

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who is reliable, safety-focused, and eager to learn. You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Laboratory Technician, or experience in a construction, trade, or related industry
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail
  • Well-developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • The ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards and industry testing requirements
  • Experience in aggregate testing (highly regarded but not essential)
  • A current driver's licence (tool-of-trade vehicle provided)
