Maintenance Supervisor

We are actively seeking a committed Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance of our fixed plant assets to enable efficient and safe operation. Reporting to the Asset Manager SEQ, this position is required to support our concrete plants across South East Queensland.
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising maintenance activities across Boral’s SEQ fixed concrete plants. This role will identify; coordinate and project manage fixed plant asset maintenance to meet plant availability and maintenance budget requirements.
Your day will involve:
- Develop scope of works, undertake tender process, review quotes and awarding of maintenance works to external contractors.
- Coordination of contractors, suppliers, and internal operations for scheduled maintenance shutdowns.
- Onsite supervision of medium to large scale maintenance works.
- Holding effective site toolbox meetings with contractors and internal staff undertaking maintenance activities.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with the Boral safety management system and applicable Boral and national / international technical and quality standards
- Identifying and managing changes to planned work scopes, including budget and schedule impacts.
- Working with the Asset Manager to develop and manage fixed plant maintenance budgets.
- Liaising with internal, external customers and suppliers in a professional manner.
- Carrying out related work order administration and reporting requirements.
- Leading responses to critical plant equipment breakdowns, including containment actions; may carry out minor breakdown repairs and associated maintenance tasks.
- Leading root cause analyses to understand and prevent future plant breakdowns.
- Developing technical standards related to fixed plant equipment based on known good practice.
- Leading condition assessments of fixed plant equipment, translating findings into a prioritised action plan.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in a similar role within concrete or similar manufacturing facilities (conveyors, silos, bins, pneumatic conveying systems, water handling / treatment systems).
- Engineering or Mechanical trade qualifications highly desirable.
- Previous experience supervising / managing medium sized maintenance works, including leading contractors.
- A strong commitment and focus on safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using computerised maintenance management systems (Maximo, Oracle eAM, etc) and Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
