Boral Cement is looking for an experienced Operator Maintainer to join our production Support Team based at Maldon. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for providing support to the operational teams to achieve set targets by following daily operational plans.
Operator Maintainers (OMs) are plant attendants/production operators with additional skills and responsibilities that will enable them to provide a response to plant breakdowns and adjustments where production work commitments permit.
In addition, this role will act as Shift Relief with the flexibility of working (with notice) Day, Night & weekend shifts. This flexibility will be compensated with generous allowances and benefits above and beyond the competitive hourly rate
Your day will involve:
Working within the Production / Production Support or Packaging and Dispatch teams to effectively meet customer demands.
Carrying out tasks that will improve the efficiency of the business or prevent serious plant damage, or risks to safety or the environment
Undertake routine inspections & service tasks to ensure the smooth operation of plant equipment
Comply with and adhere to Company Standard Operating Procedures, and all operational and workplace policies of the Company, as amended from time to time. This includes the Company's Life Saving Rules
What we are looking for:
Relevant experience in a heavy manufacturing/packaging/production environment.
Trained and competent in the use of tools and equipment required to undertake maintenance tasks associated with role.
Advanced mechanical aptitude or trade background
Genuine commitment to workplace safety
Experience and competencies operating forklifts and front end loaders beneficial
A genuine "jack of all trades" will excel in this role
