Unique opportunity for a driven and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our high-performing team on a permanent basis, overseeing the crushing plant maintenance across our Lysterfield & Montrose quarries.

Reporting to and supporting the Quarry Manager, this diverse role will oversee the maintenance of fixed assets at the quarry, responsible for ensuring maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with Boral safety standards and systems, planning and supervising all trade and maintenance work and maintaining adequate stock of spare parts and equipment.

You’ll play a crucial role in optimising plant and equipment performance while ensuring compliance with safety standards and adherence to Boral's OH&S, Environmental, and Quality Standards.

Your day will involve:

  • Leading and managing a team of maintenance workers during the afternoon and night shift commencing at 3pm.
  • Supervising all trade and maintenance crushing, screening and blending plants at the Lysterfield and Montrose Quarry
  • Oversee maintenance activities and ensure compliance with Boral’s requirements.
  • Conducting stock take and risk assessments
  • Relief team leader as required

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in quarrying, mining, or materials handling is essential.
  • Degree, Diploma, or Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, or Boilermaking (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a boilermaker or fitters role with a strong team lead background.
  • Strong background in crushing and screening and heavy fixed equipment.
  • Hands on individual with excellent communication skills & great attention to detail
  • Strong leadership attributes including initiative to identify, manage, and solve issues as they arise
