Boral sites operate different hours depending on location and demand. Truck driver roles may involve a mix of day and night shifts, usually worked on rotating, full‑time rosters. Some roles may also include weekend work.
Operating hours vary by site, and some locations run 24‑hour operations.
Licence requirements vary depending on the vehicle type. This may include:
• Concrete agitator roles: HR licence
• Tipper and tanker roles: HC licence
• B‑double roles: MC licence
All applicants also need to hold a current White Card and be able to provide a driving record as part of the application process.
Boral’s fleet includes automatic vehicles equipped with telematics technology to support safety, compliance and efficient delivery.
The recruitment process usually starts with an online application and interview. Depending on the role, this may also include a practical driving assessment and relevant background or pre‑employment checks.
Yes. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided as part of onboarding and for use in your role.
New truck drivers complete a structured onboarding and training program. This typically includes working alongside a driver trainer or experienced team members, on‑the‑job learning, and induction training covering safety, systems and customer requirements.
Yes. Boral supports development and internal career progression, with opportunities to build skills and move into other roles over time. Progression pathways and timeframes can vary depending on the role, location and individual circumstances.
Truck driver roles at Boral are covered by relevant Enterprise Agreements. Pay is based on the role and experience, with additional earning opportunities such as overtime, allowances, rostered days off (RDOs) and weekend rates where applicable.
