We now have a great opportunity available for a qualified Plant or Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Boral Asphalt team in Seven Hills.
Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to undertake and oversee the service and maintenance requirements for mobile asphalt plant equipment and heavy vehicle fleet, with a combination of workshop and field service.
What your day will look like:
Work independently, and consult with operational teams on prioritization of tasks
Ensuring mobile asphalt equipment and heavy vehicles comply with relevant safety standards
Ensure equipment is maintained in accordance with company requirements for operational purposes and to allow the business to meet objectives
Combination of workshop and field-based tasks and available for nighttime standby as required
Ensuring all relevant permits and safety paperwork is in place before commencement of tasks
Contractor and labour supervision onsite
Monitoring plant equipment for any defects, utilising our maintenance system
Undertake equipment assessments and reviews and develop improvement plans
What we are looking for:
Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic
HR License (desirable)
Strong written and verbal communications skills and a safety-first focus
Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships
Self-motivated and the ability to work with minimal supervision
